Facebook error “Warning: This Message Contains Blocked Content”
13I started getting this error for a few days ago now. I simply send a hyperlink to a friend and facebook doesn’t like that. WTF?
12/31/08 Update:
I found a post on Facebook about the issue at http://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=18347337130 . Apparently, “if you try to send a message that contains a link to a website with an importer” you’ll get that message. “This response is our way of trying to protect every one’s privacy. Right now, the sites that are asking for this information, and that we are blocking as a result, gain complete access and control over your account”. Okay, but I entered a few different URLs over a time span of a few days and every one of them was blocked. I’m pretty certain it’s a bug.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Nick. Had exactly the same problem when attempting to recommend my FB biz page to my friends. Maybe they’re suspicious about their own security credentials.

Started a Fan page and got this warning about a week ago. What I don’t understand is they tell you to get rid of the link, but they don’t tell you what link and how can you get rid of it if you can’t edit your profile?
I’m having this problem today trying to post a video from youtube.

I am getting this issue as well when trying to share my blog to Facebook. This is super annoying. It’s almost like someone reported my content as abusive to facebook so they blocked me.
Has anyone had their issue fixed yet?
I think the people who reported my page as abusive, which it is not, are ones I disagreed with at Newspaper site. They are promoting violence. So IF that is the source of the Block, FB is helping those who promote violence.
FB SHOULD give innocent until proven guilty, eh?
I was getting this message once in a blue moon, but now every post is blocked from my site @ http://www.cigarpoet.net. What can we Do.
I have had this problem, it was suggested that I get as many people as possible to try to post a link from my site and then complete the security questions facebook asks as to why they should allow the link, problem now seems to be the fb captcha form is not working properly – driving me up the wall
Did anyone find a solution to this problem or how to contact a human at facebook?
Our site has been blocked. I’ve filled out the fb captcha form countless times and asked others to do so. I’ve posted a question on fb help centre but seem to be blocked from writing updates in there. I’ve even contacted my server and google to make sure there’s no viruses on there. Google say I’ve never had any for 90 days, which is longer than our new website has been up and on new servers.
So almost a month after having the problem, still no dialogue with anyone from facebook
Facebook will still send out my message if i get this warning?
I’m getting this error all the time, and anybody who tries to post content from my site is getting it as well. Others are also currently having the same issue. Is there any way to fix it? We’ve e-mailed FB everywhere we can find to email them, submitted all the forms we can find, added comments to forums…. no response from FB at all. Any ideas?
Has anyone resolved this problem with Facebook? I’ve had the same problem for over a year – can’t post a comment with this specific URL. Like everyone else, I’ve filled out every form I could find, and “reported” the problem numerous times. No responses. Zip.
(On FB, you can read about individuals receiving warnings about certain actions, and how they are restricted for a few hours or days from that activity. But not a total block.) Why is a URL totally blcoked? It could all be an error, or a jealous competitor, or nasty person’s actions? There’s no appeal process.
Anyone have any insight on how to clear a URL from being blocked (unfairly) on FB?
