0WordPress themes from templatesbrowser.com inject links into your blogroll! Do not use this site!
I downloaded a couple themes from this site and applied them to my wordpress blog. The following day I had a link in my blogroll pointing to the online Casino www.portalux.com . I figured somebody got my login password and inserted it because it was in my database. I changed my admin password and deleted the link, but it came back. Sometimes it would come back after a minute and sometimes it took a few hours. I did a little google’n and found this post by Michael Sharman http://www.chapter31.com/2008/01/24/dont-ever-user-wwwtemplatesbrowsercom-for-wordpress-themes/#comment-77646 , which describes how themes from templatebrowser.com inject content into your blog. I looked for the code sample provided and did not find it anywhere in my theme, so I simply changed theme. Unfortunately my second theme must have also been from templatesbrowser.com because I had the same issue with the casino link appearing in my blogroll. I removed both themes from the server and uploaded a theme that I grabbed from wordpress.org. Problem solved.
Hi I'm Nick Bartlett and thanks for visiting my blog. I'm not much of a writer; many of my posts are short and to the point while others are meant to be a reference for myself and other web developers.
